Homage to Andrew Wyeth
On a morning at the Philadelphia Art Museum last spring, I turned a corner and came upon three paintings by Andrew Wyeth. I stopped and said to myself, "Quinta, you can still learn something from the painters."
Since then a series of photographs that pay homage to Andrew Wyeth's landscape paintings have been lurking in the back of my head As Robert Frost said, "Let's look at it this way."
Hence, as I was leaving the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore at the beginning of July I came across this barn and three trees: Andrew Wyeth.
After playing with several versions, something that is possible these days in Photoshop, I decided to render the image in black and white.
